Research Opportunities

Students enrolled in the B.S. in EMS major are required to complete the EMS Capstone course (EMD 498) in senior year. Students enrolled in the EMS minor may take this course as a selective.  As part of this course, students may work on an ongoing research project or one of their own design. If a student chooses to enroll in this course they will be expected to produce an abstract of suitable quality to be presented at a local, regional or national scientific meeting. All projects and plans for capstone coursework must be approved by Dr. Gaither and the program manager prior to enrollment.
