Climbing, caving, kayaking, canyoneering, backpacking... Basically anything outside.

Working hard, and climbing harder.
Why did you choose UA EM?
Awesome people, awesome program, sick patients, rural and international medicine experiences.
Favorite activity in Tucson?
Anything on Mt. Lemmon or that involves beer.
What are your non-medical goals during residency?
Actually reading a book. Oh and climbing stuff.

Where are you from?
Edwardsville, IL
What are your personal interests/hobbies?
Hiking, Cooking, Backpacking the National Parks, Puppies or pretty much any baby animal
What are your professional interests?
Medical Education, Global Health
Why did you choose UA EM?
First and foremost, the friendly/intelligent/hard working people and awesome vibe in the ED. Camaraderie amongst attendings, residents, and hospital staff is so positive. Loved the Spanish immersion courses at South, and ability to work towards Dual Role Translator certification. Could go on and on, instead I'll just say I'm so happy to be here.
Favorite activity in Tucson?
Hiking/biking, farmer's markets, great places to eat, just the right size for a city!
What are your non-medical goals during residency?
Successful adulting!

Where are you from?
Flagstaff, Arizona
What are your personal interests/hobbies?
Skiing, white water rafting, climbing, mountain biking, photography, thrift shopping, wandering around Home Depot, fixing broken things, drinking coffee and IPAs, eating good food.
What are your professional interests?
Global health, critical care, and eventually learning how to be an all-around country doctor (i.e think post-apocalypse) .
Why did you choose UA EM?
That’s easy: The people here are phenomenal.
Favorite activity in Tucson?
Rediscovering the meaning of good Mexican food. And tecate.
What are your non-medical goals during residency?
Just keeping up with the little things. Like seeing snow every once in a while. Sleep. Putting my BBQ to good use and making time for friends and family.

Rugby, cricket, African dance and sheep shearing.

I am interested in fellowships in sports medicine, research and toxicology.

What are your personal interests/hobbies?
I like to be outside. I like mountain biking, climbing, backpacking, camping, and drinking a cold beer after the aforementioned activities.
What are your professional interests?
Ultrasound, Wilderness Medicine, and Medical Education.
Why did you choose UA EM?
For so many reasons. I really appreciate the great diversity in staff, patient populations, and facilities. I could not be more proud to be a part of this program.

Mountain biking.

People here are great and the UA south EM program is one of a kind.

Anything in the mountains with my wife and daughter.
