After 12 years of leadership as the program director of the University of Arizona Combined Emergency Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program, Dale Woolridge, MD, PhD, is handing over the residency director reins to Aaron Leetch, MD, the new program director-in-training, effective July 1.

Katherine Hiller, MD, MPH, and collaborators from Johns Hopkins University, University of Washington, and East Carolina University were awarded an Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF)/Council of Residency Directors (CORD) Research Grant for the study, “A Multi-institutional Online Database for Implementation and Validation of the NCAT-EM: A Consensus-derived Tool for Clinical Assessment of Medical Students in Emergency Medicine.”

Bentley Bobrow, MD, UA distinguished professor and associate director of the University of Arizona Emergency Medicine Research Center (AEMRC) Phoenix, delivered the keynote address, and Jessica Bates, MD, PGY-V, received the Maria C. Mandell Memorial Emergency Medicine Award for best presentation.
