Dr. Adhikari completed Emergency Medicine residency training at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound at Medical College of Georgia. He has been a dedicated ultrasound enthusiast and has championed the use of point-of-care ultrasound at the local and national levels for over 17 years. He is currently chief of the Emergency Ultrasound section and Fellowship Director at the University of Arizona. He is an established investigator with more than 100 peer-reviewed point-of-care ultrasound publications and extramural funding from NIH, Department of Defense, Emergency Medicine Foundation, etc. His impassioned interest in ultrasound led him to serve on several editorial boards and peer review panels for journals. He has lectured extensively at national and international venues. He has also been in leadership positions on numerous ultrasound committees and task forces. Throughout his career, he has received several awards and honors for his contributions to point-of-care ultrasound.
