Dr. Pacheco is a Tucson native. He grew up in a family dedicated to growing and harvesting cotton in southern Arizona. He is also a Wildcat for life completing college, medical school, and a 5-year combined residency program at the University of Arizona. He is passionate about airway education and was awarded the Academic Teaching Award in 2021. He is the airway lead for Banner Tucson campus. He maintains the department airway registry and is committed to airway quality improvement, education, and research. His academic interests beyond emergency airway management include trauma care, pediatric resuscitation, and cardiac intra-arrest management. He has authored and co-authored book chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented at national and international conferences.
