Where are you from?

Houston, Texas

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

Yoga, hiking, camping, road trips, and traveling with my family.

What are your professional interests?

I have a wide range of interests in EM! Global health, border medicine, rural medicine, wilderness medicine, ultrasound… I plan to find my niche during residency and see where EM takes me!

Why did you choose UA EM?

I heard great things about the program and Dr. Stoneking. Even though my interview was on Zoom, I could tell UA South had a supportive environment with excellent training.  I loved the idea of having a smaller class in a community hospital with close ties to an academic center. With an interest in rural, global, and border medicine, I knew this would be a great fit!

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program?

So much outdoor activity in such short distances!

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

Learn Spanish, convert a school bus into a small home on wheels, keep practicing yoga and reading non-medical books.
