Where are you from?

Washington State.

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

If it involves a mountain or spending time with my wife, I probably like it: Trail running, mountain biking, road biking, cooking, spending time on rock, beer, and by far and away the #1 is skiing (but that's been a tricky one lately).

What are your professional interests?

EM is a cool job to rest the body between those hard days outdoors.  But really, Wilderness and Rural Medicine.

Why did you choose UA EM?

Excellent program, fun people, awesome attendings and except for the lack of skiing, a phenomenal outdoors scene.

Favorite activity in Tucson?

Sabino Canyon.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

Converting a camper van with my wife, and growing a moustache to go with said van… don’t worry, there will be candy and puppies in the back.
