Where are you from?

Prescott, Arizona

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

All things bicycle. I have my own "semi-professional" bike workshop where I love to refurbish bikes (it's a shed). I'm most drawn to mountain biking and on a free day, you can find me on the trails. I enjoy hiking, pickleball, and snowboarding, and I'm a sports enthusiast.

What are your professional interests?

Rural Medicine, Sports Medicine, and EMS.

Why did you choose UA EM?

Walking into the doc box at UA is like jumping into a family reunion. A bunch of friendly faces excited to see you, supportive, positive, and fun. It felt like family! The small program feels with endless learning opportunities servicing both community style and academic style medicine was a major draw. It was an easy decision for me, made easier by the fact that my wife, Lauren, works for the University as an athletic trainer for the women's volleyball team.

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program?

Abundant and premium single-track mountain biking is arguably my favorite aspect of Tucson however, I am a wildcat through and through and I love U of A. I will have completed my undergrad, med school, and now residency educations at UA.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

Become a father and become the best father I can be. Improve my mountain biking skills. Start off-roading/rock crawling as a hobby. Become a homeowner and remodel it.
