Where are you from?

Bainbridge Island, Washington

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

After living in the Chicago area for four years I'm excited to be moving west and getting back into mountain biking, hiking and climbing. I also enjoy cooking, travel, and board games.

What are your professional interests?

Global Health, Wilderness Medicine

Why did you choose UA EM?

While at UA I really enjoyed the opportunity to rotate at both a large tertiary care center and a community-oriented hospital at South. I got along great and learned so much form the attendings and residents. On top of that, Tucson is a great place to live, with access to the outdoors and great food.

What's your ideal vacation?

I had to put my fourth year travel on hold due to Coronavirus, but I was planning on backpacking around western China for two months, exploring the national parks and cuisine of Sichuan province, before following the silk road through eastern Tibet and Gansu.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

I would love to explore the southwest more, and get better at cooking and climbing.
