Where are you from?

I grew up in Silver City, New Mexico, a small mining community that was the home and watering hole for infamous outlaws such as Billy the Kid and Butch Cassidy.

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

I love the outdoors and like to spend as much time in the wildness as I can get away with. I also have been known to dabble in the gentleman’s sports:,cooking, gardening, and other forms of respectable debauchery.

What are your professional interests?

I am interested in using my combined degree to work as a pediatric hospitalist and community emergency physician. I am also interested in wilderness and austere medicine, tactical medicine, medical education, and public policy.

Why did you choose UA EM?

I came to UA because of the people here, both in the hospital and in the community. I truly believe this is a place that I can live, learn, and grow as a person and as a physician.

What's your ideal vacation?

Above all else, I would plan a trip with close family and friends to a secluded beach town somewhere exotic with plenty of good food, cold beverages, clear diving, and outdoor adventures.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

During my time in Tucson, I would like to start playing tennis competitively again and regain my old serve and volley. I also plan to continue my journey to the senior PGA, a dream that is honestly far out of my reach but is invigorating to pursue none-the-less.
