Where are you from?

A. Portland, Oregon

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

A. I love playing/watching tennis and basketball and watching football. I'm also a huge movie fan and have a collection of movies that is much larger than I'd like to admit. Some other things I enjoy doing are cooking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family and dog.

What are your professional interests?

A. Medical Education, Ultrasound, Social EM, Public Health, and EMS.

Why did you choose UA EM?

A. I was fortunate enough to have the chance to rotate at UA during my fourth year of medical school and instantly fell in love with the program and its people. Everyone I interacted with were friendly, inviting, and had a true passion for emergency medicine and the diverse Tucson community. The mixture of academic and community medicine that the program provides, as well as unique opportunities such as the ability to learn Medical Spanish, are other things that really drew me to the program.

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program?

A. Warm weather, unlimited outdoor opportunities, and some incredible food.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

A. Meet new people, make lifelong friends, become a better cook, and try to visit every national park in Arizona.
