Where are you from?

Pleasant Hill, Missouri

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

I love to make something new either through knitting/crochet, painting, or baking and balancing that with being active through mainly running, hiking, or yoga. I have been learning knew ways of brewing coffee and love exploring new coffee shops. I also will never pass up an opportunity to hang out with my dog and read or watch TV.

What are your professional interests?

Pediatric Emergency Medicine, ultrasound, advocacy, and education

Why did you choose UA EM?

Once I learned EM/Peds combined training was an option I knew it was the right path for me. I knew I wanted to move out of the Midwest for the first time and felt coming the UA would give me the professional and personal support to achieve my goals throughout my training. The beautiful weather and scenery was definitely an added bonus!

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program?

I love exploring the city and taking in the beautiful scenery all around!

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

I look forward to exploring this part of the country and getting to know all it has to offer around Tucson and beyond! I also hope to improve my Spanish language skills from abysmal to at least somewhat functional.
