Where are you from?

Have lived all over. Born in Alaska, but mostly grew up in the Midwest. I have moved through the Mountain West with stops in Colorado, Yellowstone National Park, and, most recently, Boise, ID.

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

Love being lost in the mountains, wandering to find a new lake or sitting by a fire. My pup and I use most of our time off to explore new trails, chase things (usually just him) and find new adventures. Love working with my hands, and I just finished renovating a house as a side project during medical school and enjoyed it immensely, except for when I didn't.

What are your professional interests?

Have always practiced and loved rural and austere medicine, most recently at critical access hospitals in the Mountain West. I do hope to head back to Yellowstone someday as part of their medical direction and continue to support the amazing work the PA's and NP's do there. Other than that, I am coming in with eyes and heart wide open to what sparks my passion.

Why did you choose UA EM?

I chose UA for two very simple reasons. The residents seemed genuinely happy and were so kind to one another and to us as potential candidates.

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program?

I have never been to Tucson and just learned how to consistently spell it correctly this last month, so I am just ready to experience everything that comes my way.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

Be lost as often as possible.
