Where are you from?

Phoenix, Arizona.

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors, including running and hiking – for which Tucson’s great! Lately, I’ve also been getting into yoga to relax. Some other interests include figure drawing, attending concerts, travelling, eating everything, and playing video games.

What are your professional interests?

Medical education, critical care, and healthcare disparities.

Why did you choose UA EM?

There were a great number of reasons: friendly people, excellent training, combination of university and county-style experiences, fellowship expertise (faculty-trained and programs available), fantastic quality of living (weather and traffic), and distance to family. I remember rotating in the department and knowing that I wanted to be here.

What's your ideal vacation?

Spending a few days outdoors and relaxing with some good people.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

I’m hoping to improve my running times, to read more recreationally, and to make some great memories and friends (and maybe to get past 90 degrees doing a seated forward bend).
