Where are you from?

Folsom, CA

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

I love to hike and be outdoors. Exercising and living a healthy lifestyle are very important to me. Some casual hobbies are guitar, piano, disc golf, rock climbing, and video games.

What are your professional interests?

I love to teach, so I hope to one day teach medical students/residents as a preceptor in the hospital setting. I have interests in pursuing a fellowship in ultrasound or EMS (to be determined).

Why did you choose UA EM?

I was looking for certain aspects in a residency program and UA Tucson hit them all. For example, I wanted to train at a program with rotations in multiple settings like University and Community, longitudinal pediatric exposure, and a close-knit family feel. The residents I had spoken with were very confident from their training, and had nothing but positive things to say about the program. I also have strong social ties to the area which helps during this huge transition into the next step of my career.

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program?

I've heard so much about the amazing food scene in Tucson and can't wait to try out all of the best spots!

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

Make friends, eat some good food, visit Mt. Lemmon as much as possible, play all the disc golf courses in the area, and learn Spanish.
