Salsa dancing, hiking, and baking desserts.

What are your professional interests?

Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Global Health, and Tropical Infectious Diseases.

Why did you choose UA EM?

1) EM & Peds program with Dale Woolridge as the program director.

2) The people. I work with an awesome group of highly intelligent and skilled physicians, who are also incredibly interesting individuals with a wide variety of hobbies. We are all on a first name basis. I enjoy hanging out with my attendings and fellow residents outside of work.

3) There is no hierarchy. You can pick up a sick patient on your very first day.

4) We are exposed to a large variety of low-resource/income patients through border health, refugee medicine, and the Indian Health Services.

5) It's always sunny :-)

Favorite activity in Tucson?

1) Hiking Sabino Canyon and Mt Lemmon (with a visit to the Cookie Cabin of course!) 2) Rodeo (with real life Cowboys) 3) Dia de Los Muertos. 4) Desert Museum
