Hiking, backpacking, soccer, golfing poorly.

Critical care, wilderness medicine.

Why did you choose UA EM?

I did a rotation UA and really liked the learning environment that has been created here.  I was impressed by the high-level faculty, cool residents, good mix of academic and community, emphasis on resident wellness, and the beautiful Tucson weather (no snow!).  Plus, UA EM has a great reputation around the country.

What's your ideal vacation?

Backpacking trip in Patagonia

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

Improve my Spanish, become a master of Southwestern cuisine, get outside as much as possible.
