Where are you from?

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

As the dad to 3 boys, my interests/hobbies tend to be whatever my boy's interests/hobbies are at any given moment. Currently, our favorite things are Legos, Pokemon, Harry Potter, letting snot run down the front of our faces, and asking the same questions over and over again. When the kids aren't bothering me, I enjoy playing/watching sports, cooking, and movies.

Why did you choose UA EM?

My first reason has to be the people. I had a really great experience during my interview, and I immediately felt like I fit in. Besides that, it's an excellent program with a lot of great resources. I also really liked the idea of being able to train in both community and academic settings. Finally, I needed to find a residency my wife would approve of as well. She previously lived in Tucson and has a lot of family/friends in the area. Happy wife, happy life, happy time during residency.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

(1) Be a good dad and husband. (2) Learn Spanish. (3) Eat lots of tacos. (4) Exercise more, but only if that doesn't interfere with number 3.
