Where are you from?

I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but I spent the last 10 years in Tucson doing my undergraduate and medical school studying.

What are your personal interests/hobbies?

My hobbies include listening to and reading books, hiking, rock climbing, weight lifting, and traveling.

What are your professional interests?

I am still undecided on what kind of emergency medicine I will practice. I think I will probably start with emergency medicine in the community for a few years and then eventually start working in an academic emergency medicine department.

Why did you choose UA EM?

There are many reasons why I chose UA EM. Most importantly is my co-residents. I had an amazing time working with many of the UA residents during my EM-Critical care rotation and EM sub-I rotation in which I was able to develop friendship with many of the residents during that short period of time. I also enjoy the patient population diversity and the level of acuity that the UA EM department experiences.

What's your ideal vacation?

Ideal vacation would probably be backpacking through different European capitals for a few weeks.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

Some of my non-medical goals include traveling and learning Spanish.
