Why did you choose UA EM?

Everyone I met on my interview day, from the residents to the faculty were the most welcoming I met on the entire interview trail. UA seemed to have the perfect hybrid academic/county/community feel. Plus after several decades of living in the Midwest, I couldn’t be happier to move somewhere that actually has some elevation changes.

What's your ideal vacation?

Either deep water soloing off an island in Greece or sitting on a beach somewhere.

What are your non-medical goals during residency?

Invest in a sunscreen company. Watch The Office at least several more times before it leaves Netflix. Find all the breweries in Tucson. Improve my extremely limited Spanish.
