September was EM Month of Service, a national philanthropic campaign sponsored by the Emergency Medicine Residents Association (EMRA). The campaign encourages emergency medicine providers choose a day or multiple days throughout September to organize opportunities to give back to the community.
This year, the UA Department of Emergency Medicine faculty and residents partnered with the Department of Pediatrics to once again support the Primavera Foundation, whose mission is to provide safe, affordable housing, employment, and financial security to Tucson’s impoverished community. Money, toiletries, and more than 400 sandwiches were donated this year.
