Newly retired Lisa Chan, MD, and Kevin Reilly, MD, have received University of Arizona emeritus appointments.
Dr. Chan, professor emeritus, has served in the Department of Emergency Medicine for 20 years. During that time, she became the first female faculty member in the department’s history to achieve the rank of professor. She served in leadership roles with the DEM residency program and the department’s University Campus. She also established an academic fellowship program in Clinical Informatics. An outstanding educator, Dr. Chan has been honored by the residents as faculty of the year multiple times.
Dr. Reilly, associate professor emeritus, has served in the Department of Emergency Medicine for 19 years. He has held leadership positions, such as medical director of the emergency department, and led the department’s Go Live with both Epic and Cerner electronic health record systems. He has been an outstanding educator and awarded by the residents faculty of the year. He was best known for his superb efforts solving difficulty system-wide problems with electronic medical records and revenue cycle.
Drs. Chan and Reilly will continue to work with Banner University Medical Center on electronic records and revenue for professional billing.
