Dr. Parisa Javedani Receives INDUS-EM Grant Award

Parisa Javedani, MDParisa Javedani, MD, PGY-3, in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, has received a grant to attend the conference 10th INDUS-EM Summit 2014 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, Oct. 17-19. Her research, “Videolaryngoscopy Reduces the Incidence of Esophageal Intubations Performed by Emergency Medicine Residents Compared to Direct Laryngoscopy,” will be presented during the conference.

Dr. Javedani is one of 15 U.S. emergency medicine residents to receive a grant to attend the 2014 conference sponsored by the University of South Florida Emergency Medicine Program.  The conference, funded by Team Health, focuses on the development of emergency medicine as a specialty in India.
