Elaine Situ-LaCasse, MD, PGY 3, Emergency Medicine Residency Program University Campus, was awarded an Arizona College of Emergency Medicine (AzCEP) Education/Research Seed Grant for her project, "Deriving a Simplified Sonographic Approach for the Identification of Diastolic Dysfunction in Patients with Dyspnea or Chest Pain in the Emergency Department." Dale Woolridge, MD, professor of emergency medicine and AzCEP chapter president, presented Dr. Situ-LaCasse the $1,000 grant at the emergency medicine residency conference Dec. 1.
