The University of Arizona Emergency Medicine Residency Program boasts outstanding didactic conferences. The material is extensive, yet practical--just like emergency medicine. We utilize our nationally recognized faculty, guest speakers from within our institution, and visiting guest keynote speakers in emergency medicine. Our conferences are stimulating and interactive.
There are an average of five hours of EM Conferences each week.
We have several sessions in the ASTEC (Arizona Simulation Technology and Education Center) lab.
Some of our continuous conference series are:
- Critical Care
- Emergency Ultrasound
- Core Content
- EM/Trauma conference
- EM & Peds lectures
- Interesting cases
- ED Pharmacy
- CPI (Continuous Process Improvement)
- Journal Club
We also have 3 conferences a year that are held jointly with the South Campus Residency Program.
Drs. Aaron Leetch and Jarrod Mosier have developed a monthly podcast highlighting many of the educational offerings and things going on in our Department of Emergency Medicine. The podcast may be downloaded through iTunes: Arizona EMCast.
