ACGME Approves New Medical Toxicology Fellowship

The Department of Emergency Medicine is pleased to announce ACGME approval for its new fellowship in medical toxicology. The University of Arizona/UPHK GME Consortium Medical Toxicology Fellowship is a two-year program based out of University Physicians Healthcare Hospital (UPHH), a 120-bed tertiary care hospital and Level I psychiatric facility with 45,000 emergency department visits annually. Medical toxicology also consults at University Medical Center, the largest tertiary care hospital and the only Level I trauma center in Southern Arizona. Fellows will work closely with the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Centers and the Toxic Exposures Clinic. The didactic curriculum includes lectures, conferences, and formal coursework in the University of Arizona Colleges of Pharmacy and Public Health.
