Summary of Job Duties:
Responsible for developing and implementing public relations and communications strategies for the UA Department of Emergency Medicine. Works directly with the department head in setting overall communication goals for the department.
- Write and edit press releases, patient stories, newsletters and website content to promote research, education and clinical efforts of renowned academic physicians and researchers. Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with the media, keeping reporters informed about the department's achievements and expertise.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department of The University of Arizona Medical Center to create marketing plans promoting new clinical services and special programs.
